Job summary

Escape Velocity Entertainment Inc is seeking a seasoned Test Manager to lead QA for a AAA game development team in a fully remote European role. You will drive QA strategy, risk-based testing, and cross-functional collaboration to balance quality with schedule.

You will mentor QA leads and testers, oversee test planning/execution across functional, gameplay, performance, and platform certification, and push data-driven quality improvements throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software QA with 3+ years leading game QA teams.
• Proven track record shipping at least one AAA title across full lifecycle.
• Expertise in test strategy, risk-based testing, and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication with ability to influence senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define global QA strategy, objectives, gates, and risk-based testing for milestones.
• Integrate QA into early development planning to build quality in.
• Mentor QA Leads and testers; manage internal and external QA resources.
• Oversee test execution across functional, gameplay, performance, stability, multiplayer, and certification.
• Monitor defect trends; drive root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Communicate quality risks and assessments to production and leadership.
• Establish QA schedules and release readiness; coordinate final regression.
• Lead preparation for first-party certification and submission tracking.
• Advocate for quality with project leadership; cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Manage external vendors and co-development QA teams.
• Implement data-driven reporting and dashboards for build health and coverage.
• Improve QA efficiency through automation, tooling, and retrospectives.
