Unknown is seeking a senior infrastructure engineer to design and build the internal platform for AI-enabled, data-driven decisions. This remote-from-Spain role focuses on Python services, self-service workflows, and secure, scalable infrastructure for regulated environments.

You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams to identify pain points and translate them into robust platform features, while owning end-to-end production incident management and continual improvements.

Formación

• 7+ years of software engineering experience focused on infrastructure or platform tooling.
• Strong Python production experience, packaging, typing, testing, and dependency management.
• On-premises Linux fundamentals and knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Docker and Kubernetes for containers and orchestration.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
• Observability with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry or equivalent stack.
• Security fundamentals: secrets management, IAM, network isolation, supply-chain risk.
• Collaboration and documentation; ability to explain designs to non-engineers.
• Problem solving and failure diagnosis in distributed systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain Python services and CLI tooling for the internal infra platform.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to turn recurring pain points into platform features.
• Replace manual infrastructure operations with self-service workflows for reproducible environments.
• Build observability into the platform with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Own production issues end-to-end, including triage, root cause analysis, and corrective changes.
• Manage and scale compute and storage across on-prem hardware, balancing performance and cost.
• Incorporate security by default: secrets management, least-privilege access, dependency hygiene.
• Evaluate new tools and patterns and fold successful ones into the platform roadmap.
