Job summary

Volkswagen Group Services Valencia is building a new Level 2 IT Operations service for TRATON R&D digital products—vehicle connectivity, FOTA/OTA campaigns, telematics, and fleet APIs. This is a greenfield operation where the first team will define the running model, runbooks, and incident handling.

As a Level 2 IT Operations Engineer, you will diagnose incidents beyond Level 1 scope, document reproducible cases for Level 3, and help deliver automated, reliable services.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Level 2 support, application operations or platform operations.
• Experience in an SLA-driven service environment.
• Experience working in an international, distributed team.
• Degree in computer science, telecommunications, electronic engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Take over incidents from Level 1 and resolve them within Level 2 scope across connectivity, FOTA/OTA, telematics and APIs.
• Diagnose across logs, interfaces, APIs, and cloud services; prepare reproducible cases for Level 3.
• Run recurring operational tasks: monitoring, health checks, batch jobs and interface monitoring.
• Write and maintain runbooks and work instructions for every system under service.
• Support major incidents under the Incident Management Coordinator.
• Contribute to shift-left by automating or documenting repetitive tasks.
