Canonical is hiring an Engineering Manager for Sustaining Engineering to lead a distributed team responsible for improving open source software across the stack from kernel to user space. You will coach engineers, drive technical delivery, and influence culture and strategy within the team.

The role emphasizes people growth, engineering excellence, and collaboration with other teams while supporting work-from-home with up to 10% travel for events.

Formación

• Experience with Linux/Ubuntu preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in organizing and prioritizing complex problem resolution.
• Experience with Open Source and Open Source Business Models.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and lead a distributed team of engineers.
• Hire, coach, mentor, provide feedback and career development guidance.
• Manage & measure KPIs and training.
• Ensure timely delivery of bug fixes and technical solutions across Ubuntu/OpenStack/Ceph/Kubernetes/Juju/MAAS.
