Banco Santander SA is seeking an Engineering Manager for Data & Platform to lead a remote, Europe-based team within Santander Auto Software. You will own the development lifecycle, partner with product managers, and mentor engineers to deliver scalable data platforms.

The role requires strong Agile leadership, Java/Kotlin microservices, Kafka, Kubernetes, and AWS experience across fintech contexts. It offers remote collaboration with international teams and significant impact.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Experience running agile/lean software delivery processes.
• Experience with Java/Kotlin microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS) and data platforms.
• Fintech/B2B2C experience is useful.

Responsabilidades

• Be responsible for the overall development lifecycle of the solution and manage complex projects with bottom-line impact.
• Partner with Product Managers to develop a roadmap and capabilities aligning with business goals.
• Work with senior engineers to assess feasibility and design for new product development.
• Instill best practices for software development, documentation, and quality under tight schedules.
• Mentor and grow direct reports; monitor and improve team performance.
• Coordinate with HR and tech peers to align ways of working with Santander-wide needs.
