Mercor is seeking a seasoned In-House Counsel to join its fully remote team supporting Spain operations. The role focuses on governance, compliance, and contract management for cross-border activities, offering an hourly contract up to $150/hr.

You will draft and negotiate agreements, advise on regulatory compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives while upholding strict confidentiality under NDA.

Formación

• 5+ years as in-house counsel practicing in Spain.
• Strong command of Spanish law, especially commercial and contract matters.
• Sharp attention to detail and precise written communication.
• Able to work independently to a rubric and to deadlines.
• Hourly contractor paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
• Confidentiality: NDA applies to all work.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal counsel on corporate governance matters, including board and committee matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts to mitigate legal risk.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, licensing, and corporate filings in multiple jurisdictions.
• Lead due diligence processes for potential business transactions and partnerships.
• Develop and implement policies to govern corporate operations.
