Octopus Energy is seeking a Backend Engineer to join a cross-functional, agile team building high-impact MVPs that simplify processes for internal teams and customers. You will identify real business needs, propose practical tech solutions, and bring them to life quickly while collaborating with international teams.

You’ll work on core product modules such as the private area, bill management, saving sessions, and onboarding optimization, delivering robust backend services that scale and perform

Formación

• Fluent spoken English; strong written and verbal communication in a multinational team.
• Strong professional experience building backend applications with Python.
• Solid experience with Django (or equivalent robust web frameworks).
• Deep understanding of Domain Modelling and software architecture.
• Strong expertise in designing and integrating GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Proven experience writing robust, fault-tolerant, and scalable software.
• Experience with Celery and asynchronous task processing.
• Solid handling of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead complex issues from concept to production.

• Own key product modules such as the private area, bill management, saving sessions, customer onboarding optimization, and marketing dashboards.
