Job summary

Giesecke+Devrient in Sant Joan Despí is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to design and manage AWS Landing Zones, while enabling secure, scalable deployments in a multi-cloud environment. You will build automation, maintain Kubernetes clusters, and support migration of workloads.

You’ll join an Agile delivery team and drive improvements across platforms. The role emphasizes IaC with Terraform/Ansible, Linux administration, and strong scripting in Bash/Python, with excellent English.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of hands-on AWS experience including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS, ECS, EKS, Route 53, and AWS Organizations.
• Experience migrating application stacks to AWS (rehosting, replatforming, or refactoring).
• Mandatory experience with container orchestration such as Kubernetes (Open Source and OpenShift) and/or Amazon ECS.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code skills with Terraform and Ansible.
• Solid Linux/Unix systems administration experience.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (VMware, Docker).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, Nagios) and performance tuning (Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, NGINX).
• Understanding of networking (OSI model, TCP/IP).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum; SAFe is a plus.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python).
• High level of English.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage AWS Landing Zones and foundational cloud infrastructure.
• Migrate and optimize application stacks for performance, security, and scalability in AWS.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and Docker deployments.
• Automate infrastructure and deployments with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Install, configure, and maintain OS, cloud-native tools, and monitoring solutions.
• Collaborate with teams across AWS, OpenStack, and other clouds.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot and optimize, and drive improvements with developers.
• Maintain security, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Write scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual work.
