SPD Technology is seeking an Engineering Manager, Applied AI & Machine Learning Engineering, to lead a cross-functional AI/ML team. You will oversee resource planning, execution, and people management across multiple AI/ML initiatives, coordinating with project leads and product partners to ensure staffed, realistic plans and transparent risk management.

You will guide career growth, performance reviews, and coaching, while ensuring effective delivery and stakeholder communication.

Formación

• 3+ years in software engineering, AI/ML, or related field
• 3+ years in people management, engineering management, or technical program leadership
• Understanding of AI/ML modeling, systems, and development lifecycle
• Experience managing multiple technical projects with shared resources and cross-team dependencies
• Strong capacity planning, resource allocation, and risk management skills
• Experience supporting performance and career development of technical staff
• Ability to understand technical discussions with MLE and MLOps teams
• Experience with distributed or geographically dispersed teams
• Proficiency in English (Upper Intermediate or higher); Ukrainian fluent

Responsabilidades

• Manage resource allocation and capacity planning across multiple AI/ML projects
• Partner with leads to create realistic delivery plans, milestones, and staffing models
• Maintain clear view of progress, dependencies, risks, and resources
• Resolve blockers, prioritize cross-team dependencies, and ensure timely delivery
• Facilitate quarterly and ongoing planning across MLEs and MLOps teams
• Provide delivery updates to managers and stakeholders
• Coach engineers through regular 1:1s and career discussions
• Gather feedback for performance, promotions, and compensation reviews
• Identify capability gaps and contribute to hiring, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning
• Foster an inclusive, high-performing team and apply Agile/Lean practices
