Speedcast is seeking an AI Engineer to design and operate the AI platform and data engineering components. You will build data pipelines, embedding and retrieval layers, and reliable APIs powering AI applications in production.

The role emphasizes reliability, security, and cost, with collaboration across Data Engineering, Data Science, and DevOps. Remote work from Spain is allowed with expectancy to contribute to cross-functional initiatives.

Competenze

• 3–5 years of experience in software or data engineering, with hands-on exposure to AI/LLM application development.
• Commercial experience with Python and strong SQL skills (any major SQL dialect).
• Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines in production.
• Experience integrating foundation model APIs (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, Anthropic, OpenAI) into applications or services.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions, S3, ECR, Glue) and AWS security best practices.
• Experience containerising applications using Docker.

Mansioni

• Design, build, and operate data pipelines powering AI applications: ingestion, embedding, vector stores, and retrieval services.
• Productionize LLM-powered applications as reliable services: APIs, containerised deployments, observability, cost monitoring, and access control.
• Integrate AI workloads with the lakehouse platform — streaming and batch sources, query layers, time-series stores.
• Develop and maintain evaluation, logging, and feedback infrastructure for AI applications in production.
• Contribute to core data engineering duties: data pipelines, data quality, and platform performance.
