How You’ll Make An Impact

In this role, you’ll:

• Take ownership of a portfolio of reinsurance clients and manage relationships independently.
• Lead client engagements throughout the full placement and renewal cycle.
• Understand clients’ business objectives, exposures, and strategic priorities to deliver effective reinsurance solutions.
• Structure, market, and place Property & Casualty reinsurance programmes.
• Coordinate with reinsurers and internal specialists to develop client‑focused solutions.
• Leverage Gallagher Re’s global expertise, analytics, and market capabilities to support client needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, reinsurers, and industry stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and support business growth.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with reinsurance markets on behalf of clients.
• Travel regularly within Spain to meet clients and support business development activities.
• Collaborate with international colleagues across Gallagher Re to deliver integrated solutions.

About You

Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:

• Experience working in Property & Casualty reinsurance, either within a broker or reinsurance carrier environment.
• Experience independently managing client relationships and reinsurance placements.
• A track record of delivering successful outcomes for clients and building long‑term relationships.
• Knowledge of the Spanish insurance and reinsurance market.
• Experience managing renewal processes and client servicing throughout the placement cycle.
• The ability to understand client needs and translate them into practical reinsurance solutions.
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and decision‑makers.
• A proactive and commercial approach to identifying opportunities and driving growth.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, Portuguese language skills are beneficial.
• The ability to work effectively across teams, functions, and international locations.
