Job summary

IDEX Consulting Ltd invites you to join a team at the cutting edge of the global infrastructure market, based in Madrid on a hybrid basis. You’ll support senior reinsurance brokers in facultative placements across renewables, tunnelling, data centres and major engineering projects.

Day-to-day you’ll manage correspondence, research, client and reinsurer relationships, and create reports and presentations. There’s scope to lead placements and client presentations as you progress.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience in the (re)insurance market, and currently working in a broking or underwriting team (essential).
• Ideally some exposure to corporate-level clients or cases.
• Experience of construction or engineering business is a major advantage.
• Based in Madrid and able to work on a hybrid basis.

This is a rarely available opportunity to build on your existing (re)insurance experience in a team that sits at the cutting edge of the global infrastructure market.

You’ll be joining a business that structures and places reinsurance for some of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects across the EMEA region.

Day to day, you’ll be involved in reinsurance activity for projects such as renewables, offshore wind farms, tunnelling, offshore cabling, data centres and major engineering works.

The role

Working in support of a senior reinsurance broker, you’ll help place facultative reinsurance on behalf of clients across the global reinsurance market, covering a highly varied and interesting portfolio.

Your role will be to support technical structuring and placement, and to help manage stakeholder relationships.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing correspondence, invoices and payments, carrying out technical research, managing client and reinsurer relationships, building presentation packs and generating reports.

There’s real scope to develop rapidly. Once you’re up and running, you’ll have increasing opportunity to manage your own placements and get involved in new business, deal structuring and client presentations.

About you
