A leading company in renewable energy is seeking a Refurbishment Manager to drive the implementation of their European refurbishment strategy. This role involves managing major components and ensuring high-quality refurbishments, requiring a strong background in operations within the renewables sector. Ideal candidates should possess excellent stakeholder management skills, resilience, and the ability to lead complex initiatives within an international team.

Formación

  • Several years of working experience in Operations & Maintenance of Renewables Assets.
  • In-depth knowledge of major components of wind turbines.
  • Fluent in English.

    To start as soon as possible, full time, permanent

    Functional area: Logistics / Operations / Shipping

    As Refurbishment Manager you are responsible for the successful implementation of the European refurbishment strategy and a continuous development and increase of high-quality refurbishments for our fleet. Furthermore, you will be responsible to establish and manage a European pool of Major Components and their refurbishment including the determination and continuous assurance of an optimal size.

    Your Future:

    • Lead and steer the implementation of our European refurbishment strategy for major components and ensure an active usage in close cooperation with the local key stakeholders across all countries.
    • Actively manage a pool of major components and their refurbishments for our European fleet and ensure an optimize level to minimize downtimes
    • Aggregate and update demands to secure recourses and spares for refurbishment loops for our European fleet in cooperation with our partners
    • Foster needed strategic partnerships with key suppliers in close cooperation with Procurement and other stakeholders to ensure that we have a reliable and high-quality supply of refurbished components.
    • Developing & driving further refurbishment strategy improvements and lead other activities to gather benefits in terms of availability, cost and quality improvements for major components
    • Work close together with major component teams to consider their requirements and needs and deliver transparency about the overall picture of major components by developing a cockpit
    • Contribute to forecasting activities and models based on failure rates and operational experiences
    • Support in Storage & Logistics optimization & improvements of major components
    • Develop and active contribute on major component & refurbishment KPI´s (e.g. Circular Economy)

    Your Profile:

    • University degree in Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similar
    • Several years of working experience in Operations & Maintenance of Renewables Assets (Ideally several years of experience in a comparable role)
    • In-depth knowledge in the area of major components of wind turbines & supply chain and / or refurbishments of them
    • Great stakeholder management & good communication skills
    • High degree of resilience and solution-oriented mind-set
    • Very good in self organization and working independently
    • Strong strategic and commercial awareness combined with both analytical skills and the ability to drive complex challenges
    • Proven project management skills and ability to lead initiates successfully
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills plus distinct intercultural competence
    • Willing to travel within Europe
    • Enjoy working in an international team
    • Fluent English in writing and spoken. Other languages are beneficial
