Job summary

AECOM Corporation in Madrid is seeking an experienced Rail Systems OpenBuildings Modeler / BIM Coordinator to join our Rail Systems team. You will ensure BIM modelling quality, coordinate across disciplines and support multi‑location collaboration on international projects.

Key responsibilities include developing 3D models, leading BIM meetings, supervising modelers and delivering design submissions with a proactive problem‑solving approach.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of professional experience in BIM modelling and/or coordination.
• At least 1 year hands‑on experience with Bentley MicroStation and OpenBuildings Designer.
• Experience using Bentley ProjectWise for project information and document management.
• Good understanding of BIM workflows, 3D modelling and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Ability to work effectively with remote and geographically distributed teams.
• Experience supervising and coordinating the work of other BIM modelers.
• English proficiency at C1 level or equivalent (full professional proficiency).

Responsibilities

• Support engineers in understanding project installations and coordinating interfaces and clashes.
• Develop and manage 3D models from scratch using Bentley MicroStation and OpenBuildings Designer.
• Organise and participate in BIM coordination meetings with other disciplines.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of other BIM modelers to ensure quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with remote teams across locations to maintain effective communication.
• Work with engineers throughout design to deliver project outputs and submissions.
• Identify potential issues early and propose practical solutions.
