Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Rail Systems BIM Modeller to join our Madrid-based Rail Systems Team in the Spain Enterprise Capabilities Office. The role focuses on BIM modelling using Bentley software, with exposure to Revit and AutoCAD, and collaboration across USA/UK projects.

You will create geolocalised BIM models, manage parametric families, and contribute to BEP adherence and BIM coordination with other disciplines. Hybrid work arrangement in Madrid.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience with Bentley software tools including MicroStation and related modules.
• Capabilities and experience in the use of ProjectWise.
• Good level in 2D tools for drawings, diagrams and technical details.
• Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD software.
• Knowledge of BIM 360, ACC, Navisworks is positively valued.
• Automation skills for BIM tasks with Dynamo or similar tools valued.
• Teamwork and willingness to help.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering team, helping understand project installations and resolve interfaces.
• Create BIM models from scratch, geolocalised, with project parameters and shared parameters.
• Create and manage parametric rail system families (conduits, cable tray, duct, equipment, etc.).
• Create drawings using view templates, filters, title blocks and project standards.
• Attend meetings to align BEP and implement it in Madrid engineering team.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings with other disciplines.
• Assist with design submissions as planned.
