Job summary

Novanta is seeking a Project Manager on our Research & Development team to lead new product introductions from concept to launch. You'll collaborate with engineers, product managers, procurement, sales, manufacturing and senior leadership to deliver projects on time and within scope.

This role offers growth into program management with high visibility. Travel ~10% and familiarity with ISO9001/ISO13485 and MS Project are valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
1–3 years of Project Management experience.
3–5 years cumulative project management experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Good verbal and written English communication.
Familiarity with Smartsheet or MS Project.
PMP certification is a plus.
Familiarity with ISO9001 or ISO13485 compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on scope and timeline.
Create and follow project plans from inception to closure.
Record, track, and monitor RAID items (risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions).
Track actions through to closure and document key decisions.
Manage project resources and provide status updates to stakeholders.
Prepare project charters, minutes, KPIs, and closures.
Coordinate with customers and suppliers during design and development.
Support compliance with ISO9001/ISO13485 as applicable.
