Kongsberg Automotive is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our global team. You will lead quality planning from development to serial production and partner with engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers to ensure top product and process quality.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, process robustness, audits, and PPAP approvals, with opportunities to drive improvements and training across the plant. Fluent English required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma required.
• 2–5 years of experience in quality departments.
• High level of English, spoken and written.
• Core Tools Knowledge (PPAP, AMFE, SPC, MSA, APQP).
• Problem solving tools (8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, FTA).
• ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 training.
• IATF16949:2016 system auditors and process (VDA 6.3) knowledge.
• Power Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) proficiency.
• ERP experience (SAP, Navision) desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead problem-solving using structured methodologies to eliminate issues.

• Promote a culture of quality through training and best practices.
• Deliver sustainable quality improvements across the plant.

About the Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join an established team at Kongsberg Automotive. This position involves close collaboration with colleagues and customers across Europe so if you are self‑motivated, with a background in Automotive Quality Engineering and enjoy supporting and working closely with people across the globe, this may be the position for you.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in new product launches by leading quality planning activities from development through serial production.
• Partner with engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers to ensure the highest standards of product and process quality.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, improving process capability, and enhancing overall manufacturing performance.
• Lead problem‑solving activities using structured methodologies to eliminate recurring quality issues and strengthen customer satisfaction.
• Ensure manufacturing processes are robust, compliant, and capable of consistently meeting customer expectations.
• Manage customer complaints, supplier quality concerns, audits and PPAP approvals to support successful project execution.
• Promote a culture of quality through training, coaching, and the implementation of best practices and lessons learned.
• Contribute directly to operational excellence and business growth by delivering sustainable quality improvements across the plant.

Requirements

To Be Successful In The Role You Must Have

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma.
• From 2 to 5 years of previous experience in quality departments.
• High level of English, spoken and written.
• Core Tools Knowledge (PPAP, AMFE, SPC, MSA, APQP).
• Knowledge in problem solving tools (8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, FTA).
• Training in standards ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016.
• Knowledge in system auditors according to IATF16949:2016 and process (VDA 6.3).
• Power Office user (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Desirable ERP experience (SAP, Navision, etc.).
