2K Madrid is seeking an Associate Test Manager I to join the QA team and oversee planning, coordination, and execution of quality assurance across titles and platforms. You will supervise the QA team, coordinate testing efforts, and ensure alignment with project goals and release timelines.

As a hands-on leader, you will drive rigorous bug hunting, data integrity, and technical writing while modernising QA practices and ensuring a smooth pre- and post-launch process.

Formación

• Experience in video game QA or complex software environments, including leading or coordinating a team on multi-platform projects (PC, console, mobile).
• Strong grasp of test planning, execution, regression, bug reporting and database management, milestone/release support, and first-party submission.
• Hands-on with console DevKits/TestKits, platform debugging tools, and advanced Jira (workflows, JQL, dashboards).
• Able to explain quality, risk, and blockers to technical and non-technical audiences, and turn defect trends into actionable recommendations.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• QA certifications such as ISTQB (Foundation or Advanced) or Certified Software Test Manager.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the team, mentor testers, run 1:1s, provide feedback, and maintain daily execution.
• Set the standard by taking on the hardest test execution and ensuring clean data and precise documentation.
• Identify defects, risks, and testability gaps from design reviews before coding begins.
• Modernise QA with tool-driven solutions to speed testing.
• Own the test plan: priorities, progress tracking, and bottleneck removal with the Test Manager.
• Collaborate with development from pre-production to post-launch and flag risks early with clear fixes.
