Open Assessment Technologies is seeking a Manual QA Engineer in Alicante to join our software testing team. You will execute the full testing lifecycle, craft detailed test plans, and report defects to ensure high-quality releases.

You will work with developers and product managers, perform various testing types (functional, integration, performance, security, and regression), and mentor junior testers to uphold QA standards.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in manual software testing, including test execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot with developers.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain defects and testing results to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Execute the full software testing lifecycle, ensuring high-quality product delivery.

We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer with extensive experience in software testing and a strong understanding of QA methodologies. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, process-driven, and passionate about delivering high-quality software. This role will require hands-on testing experience, the ability to collaborate with developers and stakeholders, and a mindset for continuous improvement in QA processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the full software testing lifecycle, ensuring high-quality product delivery .
• Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for web applications .
• Perform a variety of testing types, including:
• Performance Testing
• Web Testing
• Accessibility Testing
• Exploratory Testing
• API Testing
• Security Testing
• Regression Testing .
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, and stakeholders) to identify and resolve software issues .
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) .
• Mentor and train junior QA team members to ensure consistent testing practices and knowledge sharing .
• Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, bug reports, and QA process improvements .
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for software testing .

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in manual software testing, including test execution, defect tracking, and reporting .
• Strong expertise with Jira, Postman, Confluence, Selenium, Git .
• Deep understanding of testing methodologies such as:
• Integration Testing
• System Testing
• Regression Testing
• Performance Testing
• Security Testing
• Exploratory Testing .
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues .
• Strong attention to detail and ability to detect inconsistencies and errors .
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain defects and testing results to non-technical stakeholders .

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Postman .
• Ability to lead and mentor junior testers and establish best QA practices .
