About You

You are someone who takes pride in ensuring software quality through precision, automation, and collaboration. You are passionate about building reliable, scalable, and maintainable testing solutions. You thrive in dynamic environments where cross-team collaboration, problem-solving, and innovation drive results.

~ This position is hybrid, based in Barcelona, Spain.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience with API testing, emphasizing accuracy, performance, and maintainability.
• Hands‑on experience using Postman, with proven ability to migrate or transition from JMeter.
• Desirable knowledge of automation frameworks such as Newman.js, SuperTest, or similar tools.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI / CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality results.
• Advanced English level, as you will collaborate with teams and stakeholders across regions.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to ensure continuous quality validation.
• Design and execute API tests, ensuring reliability, performance, and compatibility across environments.
• Participate in test design and planning from the requirements stage (sprint planning) to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate closely with the QA team based in Europe to align testing strategies and maintain consistent quality standards.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and document defects, providing clear and actionable insights to the development team.
• Contribute to improving testing frameworks and automation pipelines to increase test efficiency and coverage.
• Stay up to date with testing tools, frameworks, and best practices to enhance automation capabilities.
