Job summary

Fliff is seeking a Python Team Lead to join our Integration team in Barcelona. You will own backend features, design scalable services with Python and Django, and build integrations with KYC providers, geolocation and payment partners.

You will lead a team of at least 3 engineers, partner with product and engineering, implement observability, and ensure reliability through tests and on-call support. Strong API integration experience and knowledge of AWS, Postgres and distributed systems are

Qualifications

5+ years of software development experience with Python.
Strong API and system integrations experience.
Experience leading a team of at least 3 engineers.
Payments and KYC integrations are a plus.
Familiarity with observability tools to monitor production integrations.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for a team.
Take full ownership of backend features and improvements, from design through implementation, deployment, and production support.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Python and Django.
Build and maintain integrations with external systems, including KYC, geolocation, and payment partners, and other third-party services.
Work closely with product and engineering teams to scope and deliver new integrations.
Implement observability across integration flows, including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability, prevent regressions, and improve overall test coverage and testing practices.
Support production issues and participate in on‑call rotations
