ERNI is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, develop and maintain a Python-based MCP backend that links Enterprise Knowledge Graphs with AI agents and cloud data platforms. You will optimize SPARQL queries, scale APIs and extend semantic model compilation while ensuring security and reliability in a cloud-native setup.

You will work in a hybrid model with a team that values experience, mentoring, and technical excellence, contributing across international Agile/Scrum projects and growing

Formación

5+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend
Strong hands-on experience with Python 3, FastAPI, Pydantic, REST APIs
Practical experience with RDF and SPARQL and graph data modeling
Experience with Docker/Podman, Kubernetes or OpenShift, CI/CD, Git and cloud-native environments
Experience implementing API security, authentication and performance optimization (OAuth 2.0/OIDC, RBAC)
Experience with Linux, Terraform and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
Fluent written and spoken English in international teams

Join our expert team to work on an innovative project in the pharmaceutical sector, contributing to the development of a platform that connects Enterprise Knowledge Graphs, AI agents and cloud data platforms to enable trusted, natural-language access to complex business information.

You will apply your expertise in Python, FastAPI, RDF and SPARQL to build scalable backend services, optimize semantic queries and support AI-driven solutions in a cloud-native environment.

What you will bring

At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, designing, developing and maintaining backend services and APIs in production environments.
Strong hands‑on experience with Python 3, FastAPI, Pydantic, REST APIs.
Practical experience with RDF and SPARQL, including graph data modeling, complex graph traversals and query optimization.
Experience with Docker/Podman, Kubernetes or OpenShift, CI/CD pipelines, Git and cloud-native environments.
Experience implementing API security, authentication and performance optimization, including OAuth 2.0/OIDC, RBAC, caching and observability.
Experience with Linux, Terraform and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
Fluent written and spoken English, strong ownership and clear communication in international Agile/Scrum teams.
