A precision agriculture tech company in Madrid seeks a skilled developer to create Python services and a QGIS plugin for irrigation management. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of Python experience, knowledge of FastAPI and reactive JavaScript frameworks, and the ability to work independently. Build the Python services that power Agrointel’s irrigation scheduling digital twins and deliver a QGIS plugin for field configuration. Then, contribute increasingly to our Nuxt / Vue cloud platform as it scales.
Data Integration :
Develop services that collect and standardize environmental and operational data from multiple external sources to support precision agriculture decisions.
Modelling & Analytics :
Build and maintain Python-based components that process farm and climate data to generate predictive irrigation insights and scheduling recommendations.
GIS Tools :
Extend geospatial tools to help internal agronomy and operations teams visualize, configure, and manage farm‑level irrigation parameters.
Web Platform Integration :
Collaborate with front‑end and full‑stack engineers to connect back‑end services with user‑facing dashboards and contribute to shared UI components.
Engineering Excellence :
Apply sound software engineering practices including testing, asynchronous programming, API design, and data modeling to ensure code reliability and clarity.
Operational Reliability :
Implement monitoring, logging, and performance improvements to deliver maintainable, resilient systems that scale with our growing data footprint.
