A modular construction solutions provider in Spain is seeking an Odoo Expert to enhance their digital transformation efforts. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to design and customize Odoo modules, ensuring optimal workflows and system performance. Ideal candidates will have over 3 years of experience with the Odoo platform, along with a proficiency in Python and English. This is a part-time position with an hourly rate up to 28 EUR gross.

What about the project

Our client is a rapidly growing provider of modular construction solutions, specializing in walls, partitions, glass systems, and more. Currently, most core business operations (including opportunity tracking, project management, quoting, communication, and inventory) are managed through manual tools such as Excel and SharePoint.

To support their growth and improve operational efficiency, our client is launching a digital transformation initiative. The goal is to automate and centralize business processes using a robust and extensible software platform – Odoo. This transformation will enable :

• Real-time visibility into business data
• Streamlined workflows and reduced manual overhead
• Improved collaboration across teams
• Enhanced client experience through transparency and accountability

In addition to mentioned project we have extensive plans to become Odoo engineering partner and grow the Odoo development team internally.

What you will do

• Collaborate with stakeholders and business users to deeply understand functional, operational, and reporting requirements; translate these into robust Odoo-based solutions and clear technical specifications.
• Design scalable business process workflows and Odoo system architecture, ensuring optimal module selection, configuration, and adherence to best practices for data handling and security.
• Configure and customize Odoo modules for core administrative functions, supporting business process improvement and automation across departments (such as Sales, CRM, HR, Accounting, Inventory and others).
• Provide expertise in workflow analysis, business process reengineering, and system optimization to ensure adoption of efficient Odoo solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system configuration, user experience, reporting, and Odoo platform performance.
• Mentor team members on Odoo best practices, participate in code reviews (where relevant), and lead system testing, documentation, and deployment activities.

What you need

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Odoo platform administration, configuration, and business workflow design.
• Experience in Odoo custom module development using Python, Odoo ORM, and XML views.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and core business processes (finance, inventory, sales, HR, etc.), especially as implemented through Odoo modules.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency for stakeholder communication, documentation, and team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and data exchange formats (JSON, XML) as used within Odoo for integration and reporting.
• Experience with PostgreSQL (Odoo’s database engine) including complex queries, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Odoo’s QWeb templating engine and experience tailoring system reports or printouts.
• Familiarity with Odoo Studio, automated actions, and advanced server actions.
• Hands‑on experience with JavaScript for customizing Odoo web client interface.
• Understanding Odoo upgrade processes, migration between major versions, and management of custom codebases.
