Job summary

IDENER.AI in Seville, Spain, seeks an R&D Researcher in PV Materials to drive material-level innovation on international projects such as TERASUN. The role blends applied materials work with scientific development and requires strong data analysis and collaboration.

You will evaluate photovoltaic materials, study degradation mechanisms, and propose new formulations across the PV value chain while engaging with global partners. We offer flexible scheduling and a culture of trust and ownership.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in materials science, chemical engineering, chemistry, physics or related field.
• PV/solar materials science background.
• Technical and scientific writing ability.
• Strong problem solving for industrial challenges.
• Excellent English and Spanish communication.

Responsibilities

• Characterize photovoltaic materials and components; analyze data from tests.
• Assess long-term stability and degradation under real and accelerated tests.
• Identify and optimize alternative or recycled materials for PV devices.
• Author technical deliverables and present research findings.
• Build and maintain international partner networks for joint R&D.
