Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Management Consultant focused on Public Sector Transformation to join the team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will advise government entities on efficiency, service delivery, and strategic reforms, engaging public sector leaders to develop innovative solutions and guide change processes.

Travel within the Eastern Cape region may be required. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing transformative projects with excellent stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, Business, or related field.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public sector consulting or public administration management.
• Proven understanding of public sector operations, challenges, and reform drivers.
• Experience managing complex projects within government or public sector organizations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging senior public officials.
• Familiarity with the South African public sector landscape and procurement processes is highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel within the Eastern Cape region and potentially other areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of public sector operations, service delivery models, and organizational structures.
• Develop strategic recommendations and implementation plans for public sector reform initiatives.
• Advise on process optimization, technology adoption, and change management within government departments.
• Facilitate workshops and engage with public sector stakeholders to foster collaboration and buy-in.
• Develop frameworks for performance management and service delivery improvement.
• Analyze policy impacts and advise on regulatory compliance within the public sector context.
• Prepare and present detailed reports, proposals, and recommendations to government officials.
• Ensure project objectives are met within established timelines and budgets.
• Contribute to building strong relationships with public sector clients.
