Cigna Healthcare in Madrid seeks a claims processor to analyze and process medical expense claims within set turnaround times. You will input data accurately into PC/mainframe systems and monitor your workload to ensure timely processing and high-quality reimbursements.

Required is active English knowledge, with other languages a plus; you should be capable of making decisions, handling numbers with precision, and maintaining confidentiality in a team-focused environment.

Formación

• Degree or equivalent by experience with language studies, translation or administration.
• Active knowledge of English; other languages a plus.
• Ability to take decisions, work with numbers and input accurate data.

Responsabilidades

• Critical analysis and processing of claims for medical expenses within fixed turnaround time.
• Accurate data input to PC and mainframe applications.
• Monitor workload, timing and take actions to keep pace with volume.
• Inform Supervisor about unclear claims and propose process optimizations.
• Maintain high-quality claim handling, accurate reimbursements and fast transactions.
• Communicate dossier updates to internal stakeholders and raise issues when needed.
• Work in a cooperative team atmosphere and protect confidential information.

YOUR MISSION:

Critical analysis and processing of claims for medical expenses within the fixed turn around time.

KEY AREAS:

• Claims processing:
  • Assessing and processing claims for medical expenses while always bearing in mind the importance of medical confidentiality.
  • Accurate data input to the PC and mainframe applications.
  • Positioning himself/herself analytically and critically in the context of cost management and in respect of existing working methods.
  • Following up his/her own workload (volume and timing): keeping an eye on chronology and processing time of the work volume and taking suitable actions.
  • Participate efficiently in processing the flow of claims: inform the Supervisor about claims lacking clarity and about possible ways of optimizing processes.
  • A sustained effort towards high-quality claims handling, accurate reimbursements and fast transactions are important motivators.
• In relation to other positions:
  • Providing accurate communication about a dossier to the interested internal employee.
  • Tracking irregularities in procedures and highlighting these to the Supervisor.
  • Raising problems or sensitivities with your superior.
  • Participating actively in an agreeable and amicable atmosphere.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Education Level:
  • Degree or similar by experience (Foreign languages studies, translation and interpreting, administration).
• Specific Knowledge:
  • Required language for the role. Any other language is a plus (Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, German, Dutch & French)
  • Active knowledge of English.
