We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented QA Tester/Proofreader to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of our written materials focussing on our websites and emails/newsletters. This role is critical in upholding our brand standards and delivering polished, error‑free content. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with content writers, designers, web assemblers and other stakeholders to ensure that every asset meets the highest standards of clarity, grammar, and formatting.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and proofread a wide range of content, which will focus on website deliverables, but could also include marketing materials, reports, presentations, and other digital assets.
- Identify and correct errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax.
- Ensure consistency in tone, terminology, and style across all documents.
- Verify that content adheres to brand guidelines, editorial style guides, and compliance requirements.
- Check formatting, layout, and overall presentation for clarity, readability, and professionalism.
- Collaborate with writers, designers, web assemblers and content delivery managers, project managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
- Categorize and log errors by type (e.g., cosmetic, grammatical, editorial) to support quality tracking and process improvement.
- Maintain version control and track changes using appropriate tools and software.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in proofreading or editorial roles, preferably within medical, scientific, or technical content domains.
- Exceptional command of the German language and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and editorial standards.
- Familiarity with scientific or industry-specific terminology is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Adobe Acrobat and project management systems (such as JIRA) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- High level of discretion and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive materials.
- Adaptable, proactive, and open to feedback and continuous improvement.
- Native/Advanced German language and business‑level English is mandatory for this role.
