Hitachi ABB Power Grids in Madrid, Spain is seeking a Project Technical Engineering Senior Professional to lead technical activities across HVDC projects. You will guide techncial studies, drive design decisions, and mentor team members through the full lifecycle.

You’ll contribute to worldwide projects, collaborate with international experts, and help build a new engineering capability in Spain while advancing HVDC solutions for customers.

Formación

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or related field.
• Strong knowledge of simulation tools such as PSCAD, PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, Matlab, ETAP or equivalent.
• Proven ability to work independently, lead technical activities and manage complex engineering challenges.
• Fluent English is required; Spanish is highly valued and Swedish would be an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Lead power system studies and dynamics simulations for complex HVDC transmission projects.
• Drive technical decisions related to control strategies, system performance and engineering solutions throughout project execution.
• Act as a technical reference within project teams, mentoring less experienced engineers when required.
• Participate in customer discussions, technical reviews, factory system tests and selected commissioning activities worldwide.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary international teams to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective project delivery.
