Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Madrid (San Sebastián de los Reyes) seeks a Project Scheduler to oversee planning for large, long-term industrial projects. You will partner with Project Managers, Engineering and Procurement to develop schedules, monitor progress, and provide reliable information for decision-making.

You will report to the Project Controls Supervisor in a full-time hybrid Madrid role, with responsibilities spanning schedule baselines, progress updates, and EVM-related activities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in long-term industrial projects.
• Knowledge of scheduling principles: critical path, dependencies, milestones, baselines and schedule variance analysis
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project; experience with EVM and PMP/ PMI-SP or AACE certifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a detailed project schedule throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish baselines according to project scope, milestones and contractual requirements.
• Work with Project Managers, project teams and other partners to collect progress information and ensure accurate schedule updates.
• Monitor project progress against the approved baseline and identify schedule deviations, risks, constraints and potential delays.
• Perform critical path and schedule variance analysis and help develop mitigation or recovery plans.
• Review project scope, WBS, dependencies, milestones and sequencing of activities to ensure schedules are realistic and achievable.
• Prepare regular schedule status reports, progress updates, forecasts and project performance information for Project Managers and other partners.
• Support project review meetings by providing accurate information, project status, trends, risks and milestones.
• Support Project Controls activities such as Earned Value Management (EVM), forecasting, risk management and performance analysis.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project planning, scheduling and reporting processes.

About the role:

As Project Scheduler, you will oversee the planning of our large long-term industrial projects.

You will partner with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement to develop project schedules, monitor progress, identify potential delays and provide reliable information to support project decision-making.

You will report to the Project Controls Supervisor and be located at our Madrid HQ in San Sebastián de los Reyes. This is a full-time hybrid remote/in-office role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project scope, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), dependencies, milestones and sequencing of activities to ensure schedules are realistic and achievable.

• Support project review meetings by providing accurate information, project status, trends, risks and milestones.
• Support Project Controls activities such as Earned Value Management (EVM), forecasting, risk management and performance analysis.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project planning, scheduling and reporting processes.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business
• 5+ years of project management experience in long-term industrial projects
• Knowledge of scheduling principles: critical path, dependencies, milestones, baselines and schedule variance analysis
• Technical skills: Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Earned Value Managament (EVM), PMP, PMI-SP or AACE
• English and Spanish proficiency, Italian working proficiency
• Ability to travel
