Universitat Oberta de Catalunya seeks a Project Manager for the OpenEU Office to oversee planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of assigned activities. You will plan, coordinate, execute and evaluate tasks linked to project activities.

The role requires 2–4 years in project management, university sector experience, and strong English (CAE) with Catalan and Spanish fluency. The position supports a flexible on-site/remote working model and involves international engagement.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, communication, international relations or similar.
  • 2–4 years of consolidated project management experience in academia or similar.
  • Experience in the university sector.
  • Knowledge of higher education policy and UN 2030 Agenda.
  • Advanced proficiency in office software (spreadsheets, word processing) and use of AI tools.
  • Proficiency in Catalan and Spanish; English at C1 or higher.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide technical and administrative monitoring of projects with up-to-date documentation, schedules, budgets, indicators and deliverables.
  • Coordinate processes and workflows with other areas of the UOC.
  • Support participation in international networks.
  • Draft proposals for national, European and international funding calls.
  • Coordinate relations with international bodies and institutions and manage related actions.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for project monitoring.
  • Organise on-site and virtual events and networking activities linked to OpenEU.
  • Conduct public and institutional relations activities related to projects and the OpenEU Office.

We are seeking to recruit a Project Manager for the UOC's OpenEU Office .

The mission of the role will be to take responsibility for the actions arising from the planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the assigned activities. The successful candidate will be in charge of planning, coordinating, executing, and evaluating the various tasks linked to the project's assigned activities.

Responsibilities

  • Providing support for the technical and administrative monitoring of the assigned projects, keeping documentation, schedules, budgets, indicators, and deliverables up to date, as well as preparing the associated reports and reporting.
  • Coordinating processes and workflows with other areas of the UOC.
  • Providing support for participation in international networks.
  • Drafting proposals for national, European, and international funding calls.
  • Participating in the relationship and follow-up with international bodies, public administration, and national and international entities and institutions, as well as coordinating the resulting actions.
  • Managing and researching documentation, and preparing technical documentation, reports, presentations, and support materials for project monitoring.
  • Organising in-person and virtual events of an institutional and international nature, as well as visits, seminars, meetings, and networking activities linked to OpenEU.
  • Carrying out public and institutional relations actions related to the projects and the Office's activities.

The contract will be fixed-term and full-time to cover a temporary absence. We will agree upon a start date once the recruitment process is completed.

  • Education: Hold a university degree (Bachelor's) in the field of social sciences, communication, international relations, or similar.
  • Experience: Between 2 and 4 years of consolidated experience in project management.
  • Demonstrable previous experience in the university sector.
  • Knowledge of higher education and research policy, and the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
  • Familiarity and experience in dealing with other countries, with a special emphasis on the European environment.
  • Specific knowledge: Advanced technical proficiency in office software (spreadsheets, word processing, Google Suite) and the use of artificial intelligence tools.
  • Languages:
    • Proficiency in Catalan and Spanish, both spoken and written.
    • English level of C1 or higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (Advanced - CAE).
  • High capacity for analysis, organisation, and systematisation.
  • High level of initiative, problem-solving autonomy, and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to efficiently plan and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and intercultural communication abilities.
  • Ability to identify new opportunities, work in a team, and think in an innovative and cross-disciplinary way.
  • Flexibility and agility to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

  • Master's degree or postgraduate qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of the European and international higher education system, e-learning models, and university cooperation.
  • Prior knowledge of the UOC's educational model and its governance processes.
  • Proven experience in institutional relations, organising events, and coordinating international activities.
  • Track record in drafting technical documentation, communication content, and preparing materials adapted to different channels and audience profiles.
