Job summary

Knorr-Bremse Rail is seeking a project manager to oversee industrial projects from bid to completion, coordinating cross-site teams and maintaining customer relations. You will handle cost estimates, negotiations, and delivery tracking, with SAP order management as a key responsibility.

The role requires 1–2 years of project experience, an engineering degree, and strong analytical skills. Some travel is required; a partial remote work option is available.

Qualifications

• Technical/Higher Industrial Engineering Degree.
• 1–2 years of experience managing industrial projects.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• MS Office including MS Project; SAP knowledge desirable.
• Availability to travel (limited).

About the Role: The mission of the position is managing projects from the beginning (offer) until the end taking into consideration customer requirements, company’s targets, and project goals.

Functions:

• Preparation of project bid calculations based on cost and effort estimations and pricing strategies.
• Offer and contract negotiations.
• Keeping close contact to customers and building/strengthen customer relations.
• Leading an interdisciplinary project team across different sites.
• Monitoring of the project progress.
• Project Controlling.
• Ensuring budget compliance and on-time deliveries of all project deliverables.
• Elaboration of action plans in case of deviations.
• Involvement in customer complaint investigations.

Requirements:
