Toyota Automated Logistics (TAL) seeks a Project Engineer to lead installation and commissioning of intralogistics projects in Madrid. The role collaborates with PEC and Systems Engineering, coordinating suppliers and internal teams to deliver on schedule. Strong English skills and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualified candidates have engineering degrees, 3+ years of installation experience, and a readiness to relocate to Madrid to support turnkey automation solutions globally.

Formación

• Proven system design experience.
• Degree in Engineering; electrical engineering is a plus.
• Complementary training or experience as a construction manager is a plus.
• Highly proficient in English. Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• +3 years experience working with installations.
• Willing to relocate to Madrid.

Responsabilidades

• Manage onsite mechanical and electrical installation to commissioning.
• Coordinate supplier management during contract delivery and ensure safety.
• Supervise erection of warehouse structures and interconnections.
• Lead PLC and software integration and handover activities.
• Train service groups prior handover and support CE certifications.

Overview

A Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for the installation and commissioning phase of LSI projects. Additionally, work will occasionally also encompass responsibilities in supporting the Systems Engineering group with layouts and manuals during the sale phase. A PE works closely with Project Engineering Coordinator (PEC) in daily planning, executing and reporting project deliveries.

Requirements

• Proven system design experience
• Degree in Engineering, electrical engineering is a plus
• Complementary training or experience as a construction manager is a plus
• Highly proficient in English. (Spanish proficiency is a plus)
• +3 years experience working with installations
• Willing to relocate to (if not already residing in) Madrid

General Duties

• Overall
  • Manages and supports on a day to day suppliers and customer installation needs
  • Permanent communication flow with the Project Management and System Engineer specialists designated to the project
  • Continuously seeks improvements through lessons learned from processes during installation, commissioning and acceptance phases and addresses them to the Engineering and Project Management department.

• Execution Phase
  • Responsible for onsite work from mechanical and electrical installation to commissioning. It means:
  • Supplier management during contract delivery
  • Validates civil works, coordinates and supervises the erection of warehouse structures, machinery and interconnection wiring.
  • Manages PLC and Software integration.
  • Responsible for onsite safety
  • Trains service groups prior handover of projects
  • Leads CE certifications
  • Builds user manuals
  • Guarantees a successful testing and handover according to the contract budget and schedule
• Sales Phase
  • Supports SE team in design, layouts, supplier quotes etc… in periods with low site work requirements
