TOMRA Food is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Customer Solutions Delivery team in Valencia, Spain. You will support design and delivery of customer projects, including factory layouts, peripherals, and bespoke items, working with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Service teams from concept to commissioning.

You will travel up to 20% to customer sites and TOMRA locations, with a focus on on-site risk assessments, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or related engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years designing in engineering roles.
• Proficient in 3D modelling and 2D drawings; SolidWorks required.
• Spanish and English proficiency required.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%; valid driving license.

Responsabilidades

• Scope projects and develop cost estimates for bespoke solutions during quotations.
• Review customer specs and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct on-site risk assessments and follow‑up actions.
• Create project-specific P&ID diagrams, electrical connections lists, and third‑party interfaces.
• Perform site visits to obtain measurements and assess installation needs.
• Maintain engineering docs for new designs and modifications.
• Oversee multiple projects across the TOMRA FOOD portfolio.
• Produce manufacturing, service and technical documentation.
• Support engineering change processes and documentation control.
• Collaborate with Sales, Service and Production to deliver projects.

Job Description

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Customer Solutions Delivery (CSD) team at our TOMRA Food office in Valencia, Spain. In this role, you will support the design and delivery of customer projects across our food sorting and processing portfolio.This will involve factory layouts, machine peripherals and bespoke project-related items. Working alongside colleaguesin Sales, Operations, Procurement, Project Management and Service teams from concept design through commissioning.

You will:

• Scope projects and develop cost estimates for bespoke customer solutions during the quotation stage.
• Review customer specifications and support compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct on-site risk assessments and follow up on installation-related actions.
• The creation of project-specific P&ID’s, electrical connections lists and third-party integration interfaces.
• Conduct site visits to obtain measurements and assess installation requirements.
• Maintain engineering documentation for new designs and design modifications.
• Simultaneously oversee multiple customer engineering projects, across the range of TOMRA FOOD portfolio.
• Produce manufacturing, service and technical documentation.
• Support engineering change processes and documentation control.
• Partner with Sales, Service and Production teams to support successful project delivery.

This position requires travel of up to 20% to customer sites and other TOMRA locations. A valid driving license is required.

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering,Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a design-related engineering role.
• Proficiency in 3D modelling and 2D technical drawing.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks is required.
• Experience in the food industry or a similar industry can be developed further in the role.
• Experience creating engineering documentation and technical drawings.
• Spanish and English language proficiency is required.
• Valid driving license.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze technical challenges and develop practical solutions.
