Fia is seeking a Project Controller to manage the financials of large-scale engineering and architectural projects. This role partners with Project Managers, Contract Managers and Operations to ensure compliant reporting, forecasting and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
You will structure cost models, validate revenue recognition, and drive cash flow through timely invoicing and milestones.

The Project Controller provides independent financial management of projects, from the bidding phase through to project closeout. As part of the Finance function and working closely with Operations, the Project Controller collaborates with Project Managers and Contract Managers to ensure compliance with the group's standards regarding financial performance, accurate and timely reporting, forecasting, and risk management throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Project Manager: Primary partner for all project financial matters.
Contract Manager: Primary partner for all commercial aspects of the project.
Project Sponsor / Business Leader: Responsible for overall project performance and approval of forecasts.
Finance Manager: Direct line manager; responsible for validating forecasts and serving as the escalation point for financial matters.
Shared Services: Responsible for ERP transaction processing, customer onboarding, and invoice issuance.
Regional Treasury: Responsible for managing guarantees and bonds, cash flow, and payment instruments.
Legal, Insurance, and Tax Teams: Provide support on contractual compliance, insurance coverage, and international tax-related matters.
Project Finance Experience: Preferably within engineering, consulting, or professional services environments.
Contractual Knowledge: Familiarity with billing structures, revenue recognition principles, and risk allocation mechanisms.
Analytical Rigor: Ability to work with forecasts, variance analyses, and large volumes of data, drawing meaningful conclusions and recommending practical solutions.
Organization Under Pressure: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting demanding month-end and reporting deadlines.
Independent Judgment: Ability to make sound financial decisions with minimal supervision.
Communication and Influencing Skills: Ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to operational teams, management, and external auditors.
Systems Proficiency: Experience working with ERP financial modules and advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI or equivalent reporting and analytics tools will be considered an advantage.
