Job summary

iPronics is seeking a PIC Architectures Engineer to join the PIC Architectures team in our Photonics Department, focused on silicon photonics optical circuit switches. You will design, simulate and validate architectures and programmable photonic circuits, and contribute to in-house software tools at our Valencia office.

You will work on topology, routing, circuit performance, and collaborate with design, test and software teams to deliver robust reports and simulations.

Qualifications

• MSc in Telecommunication Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related – required or strongly preferred.
• PhD is a plus and encouraged for research/advanced roles.
• 2–3 years of industry or research experience in photonic circuits or programmable photonics.
• Proven software development skills in Python with clean, modular code.

Responsibilities

• Define, model and validate photonic circuit architectures behind optical switches.
• Develop and maintain in-house Python tools for PIC architecture modelling, simulation and verification.
