VECTOR SYNERGY is seeking a seasoned Cloud Engineer with NATO security knowledge to drive cloud adoption and secure infrastructure. The role entails planning, designing, and developing on-prem and cloud-based applications, while managing both environments per security guidelines.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Experience managing IT projects as Project Manager with Agile principles.
• Four to eight years’ experience in a Cloud Engineer role.
• Experience with ADDS/AFDS, PKI, OU structures and Group Policies, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with VMware ESX and VCF.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX, Docker, and Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC.
• Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Security, and/or OpenStack Admin certifications.
• Experience in Java and Python development.
• Windows PowerShell 2.0 knowledge.
• Open-source technology, software development, and system engineering experience.
• SQL/NoSQL and Postgres knowledge.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Interest in Cloud Engineering and its business impact.

Responsabilidades

• Working with the IT team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the organization.
• Supporting the planning, designing, and developing on-prem and cloud-based applications.
• Managing the on-prem infrastructure and the cloud environment in accordance with the organization’s security guidelines.
• Leading and developing best practices for the cloud and systems engineering team.
• Supervising standard system administration duties, on prem and in the cloud, including server installation, patch management, and troubleshooting.
• Orchestrating and automating on-prem and cloud-based platforms throughout the organization.
• Defining project plans and backlogs, monitoring project execution, reporting.
• Implementing day-to-day team management by applying Agile principles, organizing daily standups.

• Database experience, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL, and related data stores such as Postgres ;
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace ;
• Interest in Cloud Engineering and its impact on greater business practices ;
• Skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, or alone as required ;
