Hitachi Energy seeks a Production Engineering Manager to shape and optimize our manufacturing strategy across multiple sites worldwide. You will lead initiatives that enhance performance, industrialization, and the delivery of innovative energy solutions, interfacing between R&D and Manufacturing to translate designs into scalable production processes.

You will drive standardization, automation, and digital transformation while ensuring operational excellence across our global footprint.

Formación

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, industrialization, process optimization, or production engineering leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production methodologies, and equipment design.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement, standardization, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and manufacturing validation processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration capabilities.
  • Fluent English communication skills (C1 level or equivalent).
  • Willingness to travel periodically to manufacturing sites located in Spain, India, and the United States.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes, driving operational excellence, efficiency, and quality.
  • Manage product industrialization activities, ensuring successful transition from design to manufacturing.
  • Act as the key interface between Manufacturing and R&D teams, supporting the implementation of new technologies and product changes.
  • Develop, standardize, and maintain manufacturing procedures, processes, and documentation across production sites.
  • Drive automation and digitalization initiatives to improve productivity, traceability, and process performance.
  • Design and enhance quality control methodologies, factory testing capabilities, and manufacturing validation processes.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities through process optimization, alternative components, and manufacturing improvements.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead supplier and contract manufacturer qualification activities, supporting diversification and technical approval processes.
  • Define and support the long-term manufacturing strategy to enable future growth and scalability.

The opportunity

As a Production Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and optimizing our manufacturing strategy across multiple production sites worldwide. Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams, you will lead initiatives that enhance manufacturing performance, improve product industrialization, and support the delivery of innovative energy solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing standardized manufacturing processes, advancing automation and digitalization initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence across our global manufacturing footprint. You will act as a key interface between R&D and Manufacturing, helping to translate innovative designs into efficient, scalable, and cost-effective production processes.

You will have the opportunity to influence how products are industrialized, tested, and manufactured, supporting both current operations and future growth strategies.
