Valeo is seeking a results-driven R&D Design Lead in Jaén, Spain, to drive robust engineering work within cost and quality standards and interface with customers.

You will lead cross-functional teams, organize critical design reviews, develop schedules, manage investments, and ensure alignment between project needs and R&D capacity in a global, multicultural environment.

This on-site role requires a degree in engineering, automotive experience, leadership skills, and mobility to travel as needed.

Formación

• Engineering degree required (Industrial, Mechanical, Electronics, or similar).
• Proven track record in the automotive sector.
• Experience as Team Leader or Project Lead managing technical teams.
• Excellent English level (B2/C1).

Responsabilidades

• Ensure robust design aligned with cost targets and standardization rules.
• Represent R&D to the customer and manage the customer relationship.
• Organize and oversee design reviews including Purchasing and Industrialization.
• Develop detailed project schedules and define investment needs.
• Coordinate R&D contributors and align project needs with department capacity.

In this role you drive robust R&D design within cost and quality standards, acting as the main interface to customers and coordinating cross-functional design reviews. You will develop schedules, manage investments, and ensure alignment between project needs and R&D capacity. You lead technical teams to meet milestones while upholding CPM/CLEAN project management practices. This position sits at the intersection of engineering excellence and customer-focused delivery in a global, multi-cultural environment.
