Rotarex Firetec, a global leader in fire protection, seeks a Product Manager to own the product portfolio, translate market needs into requirements, and drive profitability across lifecycles in a 100% remote role with global collaboration.

You will work with R&D, Certification, Operations and Sales, shaping strategy, pricing and partnerships while embracing AI tools to enhance product value and efficiency, with about 15% international travel.

Formación

• Degree in product design, engineering or business administration required.
• 5+ years in fire suppression or related industry.
• Involved in dynamic product management activities.
• Experience overseeing multiple elements of the product development lifecycle.
• AI literacy at user level; ability to use AI tools in daily work.
• Fluent in English; French and German are assets.

As we continue to develop our Firetec activities internationally, we are looking for a Product Manager to help drive our product portfolio, support its development and contribute to future business growth. Location: 100% Remote, with approximately 15% international travel required.

Your mission

As a Product Manager you will be the business owner of the product portfolio, connecting customer and market needs with engineering, certification, operations, and sales to deliver safe, compliant, competitive, and profitable fire protection solutions.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Product Strategy, Innovation & Portfolio Management

• Define product strategy, roadmaps and business plans; identify innovation opportunities, portfolio gaps and growth opportunities.
• Monitor product performance, profitability and competitiveness to drive portfolio priorities and investment decisions.

Product Development & Product Lifecycle Management

• Translate market and customer needs into product requirements, development scope and project initiation requirements.
• Sponsor product development projects, defining business requirements, priorities, target cost and value proposition.
• Manage products throughout the complete lifecycle, from development and introduction through growth, maturity, continuous improvement and end-of-life.

Technical & Upstream Product Management

• Act as product subject-matter expert for portfolio and business-model decisions, including supplier/technology partner scouting and validation, make-or-buy decisions, cost-out and manufacturing.
• Drive product cost optimization and contribute to pricing and cost-reduction strategies.

Certification & Regulatory Management

• Define certification priorities and ensure alignment with applicable fire-protection standards and approvals (UL, FM, LPCB, VdS, EN, etc.).
• Monitor regulatory changes and their impact on products and market access.

Market, Customer & Product Marketing

• Act as the voice/proxy of the customer, engaging with customers, distributors and Sales to capture requirements, application needs and market feedback.
• Define product positioning and value propositions; monitor market trends, competitors and potential partnerships.

Commercial & Cross-functional Support

• Act as the product reference for Sales and support strategic customer projects.
• Coordinate product priorities across R&D, Sales, Marketing, Quality, Operations, Purchasing and Supply Chain.

Digitalization, Connectivity & AI

• Drive product digitalization and knowledge connectivity across the organization.
• Champion AI adoption within Product Management to increase customer value, product visibility, operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Product Knowledge & Continuous Improvement

• Manage product information, configurations and technical/commercial documentation.
• Drive internal product training and continuous improvement based on customer feedback, field experience and quality performance.

• Degree in product design, engineering, or business administration
• 5-year experience in fire suppression or correlated industry (mandatory)
• Involved in dynamic product management
• Experience overseeing multiple elements of the product development lifecycle
• AI literacy at user level, with the ability to effectively use AI-powered tools in daily work
• Fluent in English, French and German will be considered an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
