Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid is seeking an A/C Connectivity and Comms Systems Design Engineer to lead connectivity and comms architectures for Tactical Datalinks, Radios, Audio, and Aircraft Connectivity across multiple platforms. Join a multinational team involved from concept to qualification, utilizing MBSE and model-based engineering.

English and Spanish required; knowledge of French or German is a plus.

Formación

Job Description

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a A/C Connectivity and Comms Systems Design Engineer to join our Connectivity & Comms area based in Getafe, Madrid. You will be part of a team developing Tactical Datalinks, Radios and Audio and Aircraft Connectivity systems in all Air Power products (such as A400M, EF, FCAS, MRTT, Drones...). As part of the Design Office, you will be involved in Leading connectivity & Comms architectures (Tactical Datalinks as L-16, Satcom, Comms Managers, Voice and Audio, IFDL/IVDL) from first concept to final qualification aiming at partnering directly with our customers, leading the European Airborne Connectivity and driving the Engineering Innovation.

Responsibilities

• System Design and requirements management
• Architectures Definition.
• System functional and interoperability specifications
• Innovation and Development projects creation and completion
• Equipment HW and installation requirements specification
• Equipment interfaces definition
• Equipment Suppliers activities monitoring, technical documentation validation
• Equipment configuration control
• Rig and A/C test results analysis, problems investigation, change proposals
• Interface and Technical Support in front of Customers, Authorities, Suppliers and Stakeholders.
• System Inception from scratch, Design, qualification, verification, validation and certification activities including Model Based System Engineering and Modelling.

Skills

• Engineering degree in a technical domain, e.g., aeronautics, computer science, telecommunications engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional experience
• Fluency in English and Spanish with French and or German as a nice to have.
• Collaborative, team-first mindset active to new challenges in a multi-national environment.
• Technical expertise tools, frameworks, regulations
• Knowledge on Requirements management tools (DOORS, Rhapsody), Model Based System Engineering, Agile, and DMS, will be appreciated
• Communication Skills
• This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
