Product Manager

Quick summary

We re currently looking for a per-project hire for a 4-month engagement, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time position.

This is a fully remote position.

Open to candidates based in Europe or Latin America. However, availability during Central European Time (CET) working hours is required.

Professional fluency in both Spanish and English is a must. Youll be working closely with clients in Latin America, and all internal communication is in English.

5+ years of experience in product / project management in a technical environment. You must have a strong understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS), microservices (Java Spring), mobile development (Flutter), and web development (Next.js).

We are looking for a stand-alone, proactive, highly technical product leader to own the entire product development process. You will be the central hub, orchestrating a complex retail POS ecosystem and translating business vision into actionable technical roadmaps while ensuring seamless execution across mobile, web, and backend teams.

Salary : Gross (B2B) 4000 5000 / month.

Job description

We re looking for a highly technical Product Manager to orchestrate the development of the Retail ecosystem, a digital platform for small retailers in Latin America. This role begins as a 4-month contract and has a strong potential to convert to a full-time position. You will be responsible for guiding the entire product lifecycle, from strategic planning and roadmap definition to overseeing the execution of mobile, backend, and web products. Your deep technical knowledge will be crucial for facilitating communication and ensuring alignment between all engineering teams.

Your Responsibilities

• Product Vision Roadmap: Own the product roadmap, breaking down the strategic vision into phased, actionable development sprints.
• Technical Requirement Definition: Work with stakeholders and engineers to translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and user stories for the backend (Java / Spring Boot), mobile (Flutter), web (Next.js), and infrastructure (AWS) teams.
• API Design Collaboration: Work closely with the Backend Lead to define and refine the API contracts between microservices and client applications, ensuring they are clear, scalable, and meet the evolving business requirements.
• Project Management: Manage the development process using agile methodologies, ensuring sprints are on track, backlogs are groomed, and cross-team dependencies are resolved.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and timelines.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Facilitate seamless collaboration between the Backend Lead, Flutter Developer, and AI Specialist to ensure the successful delivery of an integrated, high-quality product.
• Quality Assurance: Define acceptance criteria and oversee the testing process to ensure the product meets both functional and technical requirements.

Preferred experience

• 5+ years in a technical product or project management role, with a proven track record of shipping complex software products.
• Strong, demonstrable understanding of cloud-native technologies (AWS), microservices architectures (Java-based), mobile application development (Flutter), and web development technologies (Next.js).
• Experience managing the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch and iteration.
• Experience with multi-sided, high-transaction volume platforms, such as mobile apps for the retail sector (POS) and apps with AI capabilities, is a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and engineering teams.
• Organized: Ability to plan and take ownership of tasks, deliver quality work, and meet deadlines independently.
• Languages: Professional fluency in both Spanish and English.
