XAL in Barcelona is seeking a Product Engineer to drive the development and construction of cutting-edge lighting systems. You will design with 2D and 3D CAD tools, detail luminaires for serial production, and create drawings, BOMs and schedules while supporting production teams.

The role also involves addressing technical questions from production and assembly, and assisting with prototypes and documentation to ensure smooth manufacturing readiness.

Formación

• Completed technical education in product engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar mechanical engineering role.
• Familiar with 3D CAD and design for manufacturing processes.
• Nice to have English and Spanish proficiency.

Responsabilidades

We are looking for a dedicated Product Engineer (all genders) to join our team in Barcelona.

Your job

• Development and construction of new lighting systems by using 2D and 3D design programs
• Detailed engineering of luminaires up to the final transmission into serial manufacturing
• Creation of construction drawings, parts lists and working schedules
• Answering technical questions of other departments such as production and final assembly
• Supporting the production of prototypes, the preparation of assembly instructions as well as product documentations

Qualifications and skills

• Successfully completed (higher) technical education in the field of Product Engineering
• min. 2 years work experience in a similar position in mechanical engineering
• Good knowledge of 3D-CAD design programs, Solid Edge will be a bonus
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing of different procceses such as plastic injection, die-casting, machining, 3D printing, sheet metal etc.
• Good knowledge of English and Spanish
• Creative in and passionate about solving technical problems
• Enthusiastic about architecture, design and lighting technique
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
