OLX is seeking an experienced Product Director to lead the Horizontal product function across European markets. You will own the strategy and roadmap for a broad marketplace, partnering with engineering, design, and commercial leadership to drive growth, engagement, and monetization for buyers and sellers.

You’ll lead a ~15-person product organization, championing customer-centric innovation, and collaborating with market teams to align with business priorities.

The Opportunity

OLX is looking for an experienced and hands‑on Product Director to lead product function for our core horizontal marketplace, spanning household goods, electronics, and other general merchandise categories. This is a global role with responsibility for the strategy and execution of Horizontal across a focused set of European markets. You’ll be a key voice shaping how this business grows within the broader OLX portfolio.

You’ll lead a product organization of around 15 people, working closely with engineering, design, and commercial leadership to define and deliver a product roadmap that drives growth, engagement, and monetization for both consumers and sellers on the platform.

This role reports to Michael Bullion , Chief Product Officer.

What You’ll Do

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Horizontal, in partnership with the CPO and broader leadership team.




• Drive customer‑centric product innovation with a focus on growth, retention, and monetization across the buyer and seller journeys.




• Lead AI transformation for the horizontal domain




• Lead the incubation, development & transition to a fully agentic horizontal marketplace.




• Lead a product organization of around 15 people, with an emphasis on strong product management fundamentals — experimentation, documentation, and upstream opportunity discovery.




• Work closely with engineering and commercial teams across markets to align product development with business priorities.




• Identify and execute strategic opportunities, including creative monetization levers, cross‑market improvements, and long‑term category positioning.




• Establish and scale best practices in product thinking and execution across your teams.




• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of product managers and product leaders.




• Partner with senior stakeholders across finance, commercial, and other functions to build consensus around strategy and priorities.




• Act as a thought partner and sparring peer to other product and business leaders in shaping the future of OLX.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading product teams in online B2C/B2B2C environments , ideally in marketplaces, e-commerce, or classifieds. Experience navigating the dynamics of two‑sided marketplaces (consumer buyers and sellers).




• Strong hands‑on product management background —not just a strategic leader, but someone who has built products and worked closely with engineers and commercial stakeholders.




• Several years of experience hiring, growing, and directly managing Product Managers at all stages of their careers, ideally leading teams of a similar size (~15 people).




• Comfort working in cross‑functional, multicultural teams across multiple markets.




• Strategic thinker, able to balance long‑term vision with short- and medium-term goals.




• Experience in both 0->1 and scaling phases of product development.




• Proven track record of jumping between domains and sectors. Ability to learn fast.




• Experience in developing and managing AI-based products.
