Job summary

Lidl International Hub is seeking a senior Product Designer to join the Design System squad for Lidl Plus. You will design, document, maintain, scale and release libraries while researching, auditing adoption, and advising internal consumers.

You must lead with an international mindset, ensure accessibility, and collaborate closely with engineers to align design and implementation across platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years designing for digital software or mobile apps.
• Portfolio demonstrating a passion for simple, intuitive user-centered design.
• Experience working on social or consumer-facing products across multiple platforms (desktop and mobile).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to lead meetings and give feedback in an international team.
• Demonstrated senior profile with ability to generate ideas and turn them into solutions.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a Product Designer to join our Design System squad in Lidl Plus, with a strong knowledge and experience in UX/UI design, design systems, scalability, theming, tokenization, multi-brand, accessibility and governance. As a Product Designer you will design, document, maintain, scale and release the libraries while also do research, manage timings and expectations, audit components adoption and advise our internal consumers. You must have knowledge of iOS, Android and Web standards and best practices.

• You will demonstrate, prove and convince stakeholders the proposals meet user needs and business requirements.
• You will help teams build consistent, accessible and scalable multi-platform experiences.
• You will work very closely with a development team to ensure the design gets the experience requirements in all design and development phases.
• Develop, maintain and improve collaboration processes.
• Audit system adoption to ensure design quality and consistency.
• Work closely with engineers to align design and implementation.
• Define reusable components ensuring they meet the definition of done.
• Manage and develop the system collaboratively based on product needs.
• Lead meetings to explain solutions and achieve agreements with the technical team.
• We need effective communication, presentation and team player skills to work with an international and multicultural team.
• Complete professional fluency in English.
• Be proactive, autonomous, organized and analytical.
• Experience working with component libraries and design files.
