Job summary

Merlin Digital Partner is seeking a Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) for a fast-growing HealthTech partner. You will own the end-to-end user experience across web and mobile, from discovery to delivery, collaborating with Product, Eng/Hardware, and Data teams to build scalable, intuitive interfaces.

You will lead design system development, drive UX strategy, and validate concepts with qualitative and quantitative research.

We are currently looking for a Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) with a 100% product-centric mindset to join their Product team and drive the end-to-end user experience of their next-generation digital ecosystem.

Mission:

As a Senior Product Designer (UX/UI), your mission will be to own the user experience across the digital product lifecycle, transforming complex health data, hardware interactions, and business strategy into clear, intuitive, and highly functional digital products.

You will play a central role in aligning product vision with user needs, defining design strategy, and ensuring that every interface delivers tangible business and user value. Working closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Data, and Hardware teams, you will champion user-centric methodologies to build scalable and high-impact digital experiences.

The Role:

You will be responsible for:

• Product Strategy & Discovery:

  • Leading product discovery phases, mapping problem spaces, user journeys, and aligning design decisions directly with core product metrics and business objectives.

  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative user research (interviews, usability testing, data analytics) to derive actionable product insights.

• End-to-E nteraction Design:

  • Designing user flows, information architectures, wireframes, and pixel‑perfect high‑fidelity web and mobile interfaces.

  • Building and testing interactive prototypes to validate concepts, iterate rapidly, and solve complex UX problems before development.

• Design System & Scalability:

  • Owning, maintaining, and scaling the multi‑platform Design System (component libraries, design tokens, interaction standards, and documentation).

  • Ensuring visual consistency, accessibility, and UI excellence across all digital touchpoints.

• Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Delivery:

  • Partnering daily with Frontend and Software Engineers to evaluate technical feasibility and ensure seamless, high‑quality design hand‑offs.

  • Defining UX success metrics alongside Product Managers to measure post‑launch adoption, friction points, and feature performance.

What we need:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or interaction designer working on end‑to‑end digital products (Web & Mobile Apps).

• 100% Product-Centric Mindset: Deep understanding of how design directly drives product growth, retention, user engagement, and business goals.

• Mastery of Design Tools: Expert knowledge of Figma (Auto‑Layout, Design Tokens, Component Libraries, Variables, and Advanced Interactive Prototyping).

• Design Systems Ownership: Demonstrated experience creating, scaling, and maintaining production‑ready design systems.

• UX Research & Validation: Hands‑on experience planning, executing, and synthesizing user testing and data‑driven feedback loops.

• Cross‑functional Alignment: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers and Developers in fast‑paced, Agile environments.

• Strong Communication: Ability to articulate, defend, and present design rationales clearly to key stakeholders.

• Professional English level.

• Hybrid Work Model: Ability to work on‑site at our Barcelona office 3 days a week.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience designing interfaces for IoT products, connected devices, wearable tech, or physical‑digital service ecosystems.

• Previous experience in HealthTech, MedTech, or SportsTech environments handling complex telemetry and health data visualizations.

• Basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML/CSS, React, Tailwind) to facilitate developer hand‑off and technical alignment.

• Experience with product analytics and research tools (Mixpanel, Hotjar, Amplitude, Google Analytics).

• Experience in high‑growth startups or tech scale‑ups.
