Descripción del empleo
Overview

I’m Alejandro Martínez, a freelance headhunter currently supporting a leading technology company in its search for a Procurement Manager.

The company is undergoing a major operational transformation. Until now, most procurement and supplier management activities have been handled manually using Excel, Google Forms, and Jira, with some basic automations via Zapier.

They are now entering a new phase: designing and implementing their first centralized Procurement Software — a solution that will automate approvals, improve compliance, and connect procurement with key departments such as IT, Legal, Finance, and Office Management.

This is a strategic position reporting directly to the COO, offering the opportunity to lead a project that will define the company’s internal efficiency and digital maturity for years to come.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the full implementation of a Procurement Software (from vendor selection to go-live and user adoption).
  • Map and redesign all existing manual procurement workflows to ensure automation and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cloud service providers and suppliers for technical integration and onboarding.
  • Define approval flows, KPIs, dashboards, and policies for cost and process control.
  • Develop automations and data flows, ensuring real-time visibility and reporting.
  • Work cross-functionally with IT, Legal, Finance, and Office Management to ensure alignment with SOC-2 and ISO compliance standards.
  • Act as a project manager, leading planning, communication, and change management activities.
  • Promote transparency, process ownership, and collaboration across the organization.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or Operations, ideally within tech, SaaS, or consulting environments.
  • Proven success leading the implementation of procurement & ERP systems (e.g. Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle, Precoro, etc.).
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process automation and cross-departmental transformation.
  • Experience with Zapier, Jira, and similar workflow tools.
  • Understanding of SOC-2 and ISO compliance frameworks.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Willingness to relocate to Málaga (Spain) if not already based there – relocation support provided.
Benefits
  • Location: Málaga, Spain
  • Work model: Hybrid (first 2 months on-site, then 3 days/week on-site, 2 days remote). This setup is non-flexible, due to close collaboration required with key departments during rollout.
  • Compensation: €55,000 – €70,000 total package
  • Relocation package available, including relocation assistance for family.
  • Candidates must hold EU citizenship or an existing Spanish work permit.
  • The company cannot sponsor or transfer work visas (e.g. Highly Qualified Visa).
  • Support provided for relocation logistics, documentation, and local registration.
Recruitment process
  1. CV review and first interview with Alejandro Martínez
  2. Second interview with the Client Talent team to assess skills, motivation, and organizational fit.
  3. Final interview with the COO and key stakeholders involved in the procurement transformation project.
