IDENER.AI in Sevilla is seeking a Researcher to advance mathematical and computational models in chemical, industrial or biotech contexts. You will define unit operation models and encode them in Python, MATLAB, OpenModelica, or EES.

You will work with engineers and scientists to gather data, explore optimization, and present findings in technical reports, while contributing to software interfaces and IP development.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required; Master’s or PhD valued.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with ability to interpret data.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C++ for model development.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to present to international partners.

Responsabilidades

• Define mathematical models for unit operations with mass and energy balances.
• Code models in environments like EES, Matlab, Python, or OpenModelica.
• Identify objective functions and constraints for system optimization.
• Perform sensitivity analyses and optimization studies.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and researchers to gather data.
• Document modelling process, hypotheses, and outcomes.
• Work with developers to translate models into accessible interfaces.
• Contribute to R&D projects to advance methodologies and IP.
