Alstom in Madrid seeks a Process Industrial Quality Manager on a fixed-term contract to ensure product quality during manufacturing and to deploy quality standards across operations.

You will lead quality activities, analyze defects, support critical decisions, participate in inspections, and drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma within a matrix organization.

Formación

• Degree in Engineering and hands-on quality experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with industrial quality and continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, problem solving).
• Strong knowledge of industrial processes and quality standards (ISO9001).
• Ability to read drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience managing teams (Manager level).
• Fluent English and international mindset, able to work in matrix environments.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure product quality during manufacturing according to internal and customer specifications.
• Manage Industrial Quality activities across people, processes, and performance.
• Analyze Defects per Unit (DpU) and external demerits to drive line quality improvements.
• Support GO / NO GO decisions and hold veto right in critical situations.
• Stop production when required for safety or quality reasons.
• Contribute to Criticality Matrix and Process FMEA analyses.
• Lead FAR activities and participate in FMR / SMR reviews.
• Implement and update Quality Control Plans during pre-serial and serial phases.
• Manage internal NCRs and support their closure using problem‑solving methodologies.
• Participate in customer inspections, audits, and First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Perform workstation audits and ensure proper self‑inspection practices.

What You Bring

• Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or similar)
• Experience in industrial quality and continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, problem solving)
• Strong knowledge of industrial processes and quality standards (ISO9001)
• Ability to read drawings and technical specifications
• Experience managing teams (for Manager level)
• Fluent English and international mindset
• Ability to work in matrix environments and under pressure
• Strong communication skills, rigor, and team spirit

• Reduction of Defects per Unit (DpU) and external demerits
• Improvement of First Pass Yield (FPY)
• Reduction of Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ)
• Achievement of APSYS Industrial Quality targets (Q09–Q13)
