Alantra Spain seeks a Private Equity Principal to lead across origination, execution, portfolio management, and exits. The successful candidate will help drive value-creation initiatives and work closely with management teams and boards in Iberia.

You will also support fundraising and investor relations, mentor junior investment professionals, and represent the firm in deal execution and strategic negotiations.

Formación

• 7–10 years of relevant private equity experience.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and structuring skills.
• Experience working with portfolio companies and management teams.
• Excellent leadership, commercial judgement and communication skills.
• Excellent English, both written and spoken. Other languages would be a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Origination and execution: Assess investment opportunities and lead financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, transaction structuring and financing.
• Investment Committee: Prepare and present investment recommendations and supporting materials.
• Portfolio management: Work closely with management teams and boards to monitor performance and drive strategic and operational value-creation initiatives.
• Exit execution: Contribute to the preparation and execution of portfolio company exits.

Role Description:

The successful candidate will play a senior role across the full investment cycle, from origination and execution to portfolio management and exit.

1. Origination and execution: Assess investment opportunities and lead financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, transaction structuring and financing.
2. Investment Committee: Prepare and present investment recommendations and supporting materials.
3. Portfolio management: Work closely with management teams and boards to monitor performance and drive strategic and operational value-creation initiatives.
4. Exit execution: Contribute to the preparation and execution of portfolio company exits.
5. Fundraising: Support fundraising, investor relations and fund reporting activities.
6. Team development: Supervise and mentor junior investment professionals.

Role Requirements:

1. 7–10 years of relevant experience, including substantial Private Equity exposure. Previous experience in Investment Banking, Strategic Consulting or Transaction Advisory Services would be valued.
2. Proven experience in executing and managing private equity investments.
3. Strong financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and structuring skills.
4. Experience working with portfolio companies and management teams.
5. Excellent leadership, commercial judgement and communication skills.
6. Excellent English, both written and spoken. Other languages would be a plus.
7. Advanced command of Microsoft Office and relevant financial databases.
8. Proactive, entrepreneurial and results-oriented mindset, with strong attention to detail.
